Update from the Commander:
As I told you previously, a temporary bar has been opened in the hall. Thank you for your monetary support. Our first breakfast since the fire was a success. We sold 97 breakfasts which was more guests than last year.
Thank you to the Post and Auxiliary workers and to the community for your help and support. We had help from the Boy Scouts. Members of Troop 107 came to the breakfast and helped with the set up of tables. We very much appreciated their efforts.
Our next breakfast will be December 21st. Hope to see you all there. Construction has not yet begun on the bar portion of the fire damage. There is some asbestos in the bar which will have to be removed. The insurance company is responsible for the removal and work is progressing slowly on this. Once the asbestos is removed the repair of the bar can begin.
We provide services and support to veterans, their spouses and their communities. We participate in many different community service organizations.
We will always be here to ensure the honor and recognition due our veterans, in life and in death.
Our Commander is Gary Brown. The Post has 238 members, residing both locally and out of state.
